20 Gay kitesurf, 6 windy days, endless laughs, and unforgettable moments in the Red Sea

The 2025 edition of our Gay Kitesurf Safari in Egypt has come to an end… and what a trip it was! Without a doubt, it was one of the most epic adventures in the history of GayKitesurf. Why? Because it was the biggest one yet — 20 gaykitesurfers from all over the world joined us for a week full of wind, sun, and amazing vibes.

From Switzerland to Germany, Spain, France, the UK, Scotland, the United States, India, Italy, Belgium, and the Netherlands — it was a truly international crew. We had the pleasure of welcoming back familiar faces and also embracing newcomers who joined us for the first time. From day one, the connection was instant — that special magic that happens when the love for kitesurfing and the energy of our gay community come together.

And let’s talk about the wind: six full days of perfect conditions, glassy turquoise water, and spacious spots with just us on the sea. Our private yacht was fully ours, with the amazing team from Sick Dog taking care of us the entire time — they’re not just our guides any more, they’re family.

We had everything: morning kite sessions, sunset swims, and the inevitable kite chats over dinner. For the beginners, we had three brave souls who joined the water for their very first rides — and yes, they managed to glide through the Red Sea! Others took advantage of the week to improve their technique with mini clinics and guidance from more experienced riders. That’s the beauty of these trips — there’s always something to learn and share.

But it wasn’t all wind and water — we also dove into the depths with a few scuba dives (because the Red Sea is too beautiful not to explore it under the surface too!), and we even had two epic costume parties on the boat that we’ll never forget. It was pure joy, dancing under the stars and laughing until our cheeks hurt.

This trip reminded us why we love what we do: the community, the energy, the wind, and the freedom. It’s more than a sport — it’s a way of life.
